Battle At The Hive XII Tournament Rules
The National High-School Federation Rules and Regulations will apply to all tournament games , except for the
following:
Tournament Rules
A) Players will only be allowed to play for one team per division (grade) Players can play in more than one
division as long as they qualify and MUST be on the roster.
B) Game play:
C) Timeouts 3 per game. No carry over. Overtime 1 per team. NO carry over
D) Double bonus on 5 team fouls each quarter
E) Warm up- 4 minutes/ halftime 3 minutes/ 1 st overtime 2 minutes, each after that 1 minute
F) 9/10 th and HS divisions players are allowed 6 fouls each before disqualification
G) 9 th -HS will play with a 30 second shot clock. There is NO 10 sec back-court count. The clock will reset on
every change of possession, foul and shot attempt striking the rim.
Team Responsibilities:
a) Each team is allowed 2 coaching passes may have a maximum of 3 on the bench and must display proper
coaching decorum. Any passes lost will require one to be purchased
b) All teams must submit an official roster to the Hive prior to the start of the event
c) Each team must bring their own warm up ball
d) Home team is the team listed first or on top of bracket. Please be mindful and work situations out as to
not all teams may have their uniforms yet
e) Each team is required to have a copy of each players report card for the 2024-25 season. Any and all
protest may only be done by the head coach along with $100 fee and MUST be done prior to the start of
the game. If the ruling is in favor of the protesting team the fee will be returned. If protested team is
found in violation any games that the protested player played in will be forfeit.
f) Upset and frustrated parents do not have authorization to protest or harass officials/coaches or site
workers. They will be removed from the venue and may be banned from the rest of the event.
g) Coaches- you are responsible for the behavior of yourself, players and parents. Any family member
entering the court of play for any reason is subject for removal from the facility. Failure to do so may
penalize your team with a forfeit
h) Any issues should be brought to the site supervisor first.
i) Coaches must fill out their scoresheet with player first and last name with number
j) Coaches being ejected from the game for any reason must sit their next game. No exceptions.
